I too knew Wayne from church and echo what Dawn said below about Wayne's kindness, testimony of faith, and serving heart. I would speak with him as he greeted by the sanctuary doors and the conversation was almost always about our love for Jesus. Wayne touched many hearts and minds as he joyfully served. I will miss him and will always be grateful he is in a better place and I will see him again one day. He has finally gone home and has at last achieved his heart's desire: GONE FISHING WITH JESUS!

My thoughts and prayers are with each of you. I knew Wayne from Blue Ridge Community Church and love seeing him sitting cheerfully by the inner doors serving the Lord. We talked just about every Sunday morning and his favorite topic was always about loving Jesus. As I believe you are aware, his favorite saying was, "Gone fishing with Jesus"! Well he is finally home and fishing with the Master Fisherman, Jesus! I am so proud and thankful to be his brother in Christ and look forward to seeing him in heaven!

Wayne was such a kind man and had such a testimony of faith. We enjoyed having him serve as a greeter at Blue Ridge. He was very dedicated and always had his special spot right by the main doors. His sweet smile will be sorely missed by all of us on the Guest Services team. We are comforted in knowing that Wayne had a relationship with Christ and that he is with his Heavenly Father. Blessings and peace to the family at this time. Our prayers are with you all! God Bless.
