Please accept my condolences for the loss you have suffered. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Pate other than through his daughter, Penny. Someone such as her could only have been raised by a father and mother who, together, provided an exceptional example of love, kindness, knowledge, humility, and character that anyone would be fortunate to have as parents. Not only can someone come to know another through their works, but also through their children. Mr. Pate will continue to be an example for those who knew him, and they will be better for it.

I am so sorry to learn of your loss. May your many shared family memories bring you comfort. The scriptures remind us that Almighty God is close to those who grieve; "...He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) My sincerest condolences to all of you.
