You don’t know me personally, but I would like to express my sincere condolences to your family. Like you I too have suffered pain for the loss of a loved one. I would like to share a scripture that brought great comfort to me Revelation 21:3,4 where it states, "...And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The Bible is a great source of encouragement during times like this. May the "God of all comfort" (2 Corinthians 1:3) comfort you.
