Mrs. Dyanne Long Soyars, age 73, of 144 Garden Grove St., Danville, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at SOVAH Health.

She was born on December 29, 1943, in Norfolk, VA, to the late Harry Long and Jackie Newman Long.

Mrs. Soyars worked at Wayside Diner as a waitress, and she was a Sunday school teacher. She loved family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to take care of her home and her flowers and she was of the Christian faith.

She is survived by her loving husband, of fifty three years, Reverend Bill Soyars of the home; children, Tracy Soyars and Randy Soyars; grandchildren, Jessica Soyars, April Minter, and Lane Soyars; great-grandchildren, Katherine, Angelina, and Janie Soyars; brother-in-law, Vic Soyars; mother-in-law, Dorothy Wilson and uncle, Davis Newman.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Gatewood Baptist Church, with the Reverend Adrian Moore and the Reverend David Wilson officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at the church. Interment will follow in the Hines Family Cemetery.
