Her husband Lindsey was my best friend during our childhood in Pelham. He and I fell off a load of hay in 1941 and result was Lindsey broke his ankle and wound up with a limp I think for the rest of his life. I recall that when he got married, he told me he had married the best woman he had ever known. Turns out he was correct. She was a jewel.
