Reverend Wimmer was our pastor at Pine Grove UMC in Winston-Salem, NC during a very special time in our lives...He baptized our one and only son, Jonathan...I remember Mark as a very kind man...And a big man maybe because I am so short in stature...He and Paige and their boys were a wonderful parsonage family...May they all find peace and assurance in the days ahead...Mark, I'm sure, will be missed by all...

Mark Wimmer is the first pastor I ever heard at the age of about 5 or 6. I started attending Ruffin Methodist Church as a youngster with my Mema and my Aunt Julia. I joined the choir with my mother when I was 10. The Wimmers have always had a special place in my heart, and Mark will be sorely missed. He was an exceptional man, husband, father, pastor, and friend! We love you Mark! Our prayers are with you all! <3

Paige and family: Mr. Wimmer came to Ruffin UMC when I was about 14. He was a huge influence on my life. Many times I look back on my years as a young adult and realize it was he who helped guide me so very often. I am so sorry to hear of your loss, and want you to know you have my deepest sympathy. He was a great man whom I'll always remember.
