My father sent me to Mount Calvary. He told me that I would love attending there because of his friend Roy and his family. Good music and wonderful people like the Herndons made me come to love that house of worship! God rejoices at the death of his saints (Psalm 116:15) and Roy was indeed a saint. Lifting the family up in prayer!

We are just reading about the loss of Roy and we are terribly sorry for your loss. Such a sweet, sweet man and we know you all will miss him dearly. God bless you all during the days to come. No ones words can take the pain away, all it can do it comfort a hurt heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

To the Family: I remember Roy from when I was a little girl attending Mt. Calvary Holiness Church. My great grandmother Ocie Wishon thought so much of Roy. Roy and Evelyn both were so good to her, for years before she passed away. Our family will never forget the kindness and the love that Roy Herndon showed. May the Lord comfort you during this difficult time. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
