Savanna Lynn Young, 17, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2014.  She was born on January 29, 1997 to Leonard Gene Young and Janet Watlington Young.  She enjoyed playing outdoor sports and participated in triathlons.  Along with loving to swim she was a lifeguard.  Savanna was of the Methodist faith.  She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Aubrey and Dorothy Young.

     Savanna is survived by her parents, Leonard and Janet Young; maternal grandparents, Earl and Velma Watlington; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

     There will not be a formal visitation but the family will receive friends at the home of the parents.  A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Stokesland United Methodist Church with Rev. Greg West and Rev. Lisa Nordan officiating.  Interment will follow the funeral service in Danville Memorial Gardens.
