Mrs. Shirley F. Green, age 74, of 306 Skylark Dr., Danville, VA, passed away on Wednesday, November 08, 2017 at SOVAH Health.

She was born on June 11, 1943, in Danville, VA.

Before her retirement, Mrs. Green worked at St. Anne’s Afterschool Program in Washington, D.C, and she was a member of Jones Chapel.

She is survived by her children, Richard Conner, of Roanoke, VA; Michael Conner, of Danville, VA; and Faith Michelle Green, of Washington, D. C.; grandson, Richard Blaine Conner; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Luke, and Matthew, of Clayton, NC; half-siblings, Nora Hough, of Charlotte, NC; Peggy Pruitt and Billy Beverly, both of Danville, VA.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her half-sister, Dorothy Beverly.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p .m. on Saturday, November, 11, 2017 at Jones Chapel, 201 Barrett St., Danville,VA with Rev. Brud Perry officiating.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Schoolfield Cemetery.
