Mr. Vance Mitchell Yarbrough, age 70, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Blue Ridge Nursing Home, Martinsville, VA.

He was born on March 11, 1947, in Danville, VA, to the late Lynwood Yarbrough and Myrtle Crumpton Yarbrough, who survives. Mr. Yarbrough was disabled and was of the Baptist faith. He served in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Vance Mitchell Yarbrough is survived by his children, Jody Yarbrough Broyles (John) and Ashley Yarbrough Jenkins (Jack); grandchildren, Travis Fuquay, Reese Jenkins, and Drew Broyles; brother, Tim Yarbrough (Vicky); also, niece, Staci Yarbrough Doss (Ken).

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Mountain View Cemetery at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Freddy Vicks officiating and with Military Honors conducted by American Legion Post 1097.  A Visitation will be held August 24, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home. At other times the family will be at the home of Mrs. Yarbrough, 318 Bell Drive, Danville, VA 24541.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Roanoke, Virginia, 210 Franklin Road, Roanoke, VA 24011-2209.
