Mrs. Tiera Shemeka Williamson Cousins, age 37, of 310 Rhodenizer Street, Danville, entered the portals of heaven on Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Sovah Health Care.  Born in Danville on May 10, 1980, she was the daughter of Frederick Williamson, who predeceased her, and Sherdean Johnson Williamson who survives her.  She was married to Dennis Cousins, who also survives her.  Tiera was a member of Bethel Holiness Church under the pastorage of Melvin Wiles.  She attended Danville Public Schools;  she loved meeting new people and she loved life.

In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Cousins is survived by three daughters, Kiara Williamson, Shydashia Williamson, both of Danville, and Tikoria Williamson of Roanoke, VA.  Other survivors include a granddaughter, Ranya Stanley of Danville; grandson,  Khaden Williamson of Danville; mother-in law, Hazel Jefferson of Danville, and father-in-law, Thomas Jefferson of Danville; three aunts, three uncles, and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her father, she was predeceased by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services for Mrs. Cousins will be held at Barker Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 with Rev. Henry Anderson officiating.   The family will receive friends and relatives at Barker Chapel one hour before the service.
