David Walter Fitzgerald, age 61, of 5539 Hwy 47, Chase City, VA, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his residence.

He was born on June 20, 1955, in Hampton, VA, to the late Garland Neal Fitzgerald and Marie Durham Fitzgerald. David was of the Baptist faith.

 David is survived by his siblings: Janice Stewart, of High Point, NC; Judy Tickle, of Danville, VA; Dennis Fitzgerald of Standardsville, VA; Donnie and Danny Fitzgerald, both of Danville, VA; foster brother, Howard Wilson; and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of David’s life will be conducted at 3:00 p .m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Swicegood Funeral Home. At other times, the family will be at his brother, Donnie’s residence, 1653 Ridgecrest Dr., Danville, VA.
