Mrs. Shirley Ann Page Hyler, age 80, of 115 Locust Lane, Danville, VA, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at UNC, Chapel Hill, NC.

Mrs. Hyler was born on March 19, 1936, in Mayfield, NC, to the late Lloyd Marion Page and Daisy Stewart Page.

She worked as a Quality Control Engineer for Corning Glass for forty five years and was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church for thirty six years, where she sang in the choir. Also, Mrs. Hyler was a veteran of the United States Army.

Mrs. Hyler is survived by her daughter, Page Hyler of Greensboro, NC; Sisters, Linda Richardson (Clem) of Jamestown, NC, Nancy Raines (Harold) of Eden, NC, Carolyn Page of Eden, NC; Brother, David Page of Ruffin, NC.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Hyler was predeceased by her husband, Artie L. Hyler; siblings, Jimmy, Doris Marie, Douglas MacArthur and Allen Rudolph Page.

Memorial services will be conducted at 2 pm, Monday August 22, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Wickham and Rev. Norman Fargis officiating. Interment will be private at Danville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 409 Arnett Blvd., Danville, VA or Danville Life Saving Crew, 202 Christopher Lane, Danville, VA.
